IoT

IoT or the Internet of Things is a term that describes the interconnection of everyday objects to the internet, allowing them to send and receive data.

This can be anything from a Lightbug device which is most often directly connected to the internal over cellular data, and which can be tracked and monitored via cloud portals and phone apps, to a a smart lightbulb that may connect via hub, and can be controlled from smart assistants like Alexa or Google Home.
